Senior Care Worker (Domiciliary Care)
Reports To: Care Coordinator / Registered Manager
To provide high-quality personal and practical care to clients in their own homes while supporting and guiding care staff. The Senior Care Worker ensures care plans are followed, promotes independence and dignity, and helps maintain safe and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Support clients with medication in line with company policy • Assist with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration • Support clients with daily living activities and promote independence. • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or wellbeing.• Mentor and support care workers in the field
• Conduct spot checks and observations • Assist with staff inductions and training • Help maintain accurate care records and documentation • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management • Support rota coordination and emergency cover when required • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed• Complete care notes and incident reports accurately
• Update care plans where necessary • Maintain confidentiality and GDPR compliance • Report concerns, accidents, or safeguarding issues promptly
